Boulder Wedding Photos

I’ve said it before — it will (most likely) rain on your wedding day.

But that’s not a bad thing, I promise!  Case in point: Zach + James’ Boulder wedding photos, featured below.  How else can you get moody skies, lush green backdrops, and a freakin’ double rainbow without all that moisture from the sky?!

I don’t mind at all running around in the rain snapping photos of my couples.  It adds such a rich texture to the final gallery and the light that comes along with it is unlike any other throughout the day.  I happen to prefer this type of light over golden hour — which, believe me, is a bold statement coming from a photographer.

Also — rainbows.  It doesn’t really get any better than that.

Anyway, without further ado, I present to you: a sneak peek from this fabulous Boulder wedding that may or may not have been the rainiest one I’ve photographed to date (*insert wide-eyed emoji here*).  Thank you again to Zach + James for traipsing all over the foothills and through the wet streets of Boulder to get these photos!

Keep your eyes peeled for the full post of their outdoor Boulder wedding day.  Thank you for stopping by the blog!

A special note from the grooms:

“Hi Ashley,
We just wanted to say we are blown away by the photos we’ve seen so far. They’re so timeless, so artistic, so fun, so us, and exactly expressive of what we were unable to articulate of what we were hoping for. Thank you. You nailed it. (Honestly I like ugly-cried the whole time during the slideshow because it made us so happy.) Thank you also for making all of them black and white; James really likes the black and white ones. Thank you so much for capturing all the emotion and love of our day. Because of what you and your assistant saw and snapped, James and I will remember just how strong what we have is, forever. Thank you.
-Zach and James”
