Denver ART Hotel Wedding Inspiration

I have a love affair with the city.

When I lived in Capitol Hill for five years, I relished every aspect of living twenty yards from the Capitol Building.  Noisy crowds bursting from bars at 2 a.m.  Protests + rallies on the weekends, spilling onto the corners of Broadway + Colfax.  Nightmares + adventures in parallel parking.

As I was moving out of my studio apartment over a year ago, the newest premier hotel + wedding venue was moving in: The ART Hotel.  Only the bare bones of the building had been installed, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when it was finished.  All I knew was that it was going to be rad; anything associated with the Denver Art Museum has to be.

Once construction was complete in 2015, I attended one of their myriad openings.  I was immediately obsessed.  It had all the pieces for a perfect downtown venue: modern décor, a central location to all the city’s action, and a swanky rooftop lounge.

My good friend Lauren of Hourglass Productions was my date to the event.  Upon stepping foot inside, we looked at each other and we both knew that we had to hunt someone down to get started on planning a bridal shoot here.

We got in touch with Lindsay Johnson, the catering + conference sales manager, and she was on board with our idea of a bridal shoot.  We were thrilled and began planning.  We wanted bold colors, an all-black tux, non-traditional wedding attire and metallics of all sorts.

It came together swimmingly on the day of the shoot.  All of the vendors on our team are 100% wonderful and receive my stamp of approval.  From that seriously rad cake to the avant garde floral design to the handwritten (!) stationery, I was (and still am) blown away by this shoot.
