Downtown Denver Westin Wedding

Mark + Shahana were married this past October in the heart of the city, and I am so excited to bring you their Downtown Denver Westin wedding photos!  The hotel is situated just behind the Daniels + Fisher Clock Tower, which at one point was the tallest building in the United States (west of the Mississippi, of course) and one of the iconic buildings of the Denver skyline.

Elsewhere on their wedding day, the Denver Zombie Crawl was taking place but we decided to stay away from the chaos, for good reason — many people taking part in the zombie crawl often fling fake blood onto one another, so the last thing we all wanted was a wedding dress covered in fake blood.  You’d also be surprised at how many people kept asking Mark + Shahana if they were “really getting married” or if their outfits were zombie costumes!

For their wedding day, all festivities took place at the Westin. Shahana got ready in a top-floor suite and Mark prepared next door. Before the ceremony, we found refuge in the shade underneath some gorgeous trees in perfect autumn color. There, the couple had a first look and we took bridal party photos.

Afterwards, we headed to the Union Station area where the couple snagged some photos outside of the train station and inside at Milkbox, where they shared an ice cream cone on the warm day. The ceremony later took place on the pool deck of the hotel just as the sun set, with the clock tower glowing purple in the background.
