Mile High Station Wedding Photos

Kerry + Kevin’s stunning fall wedding at Mile High Station will go down in history as one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever photographed.  From Kerry’s glamorous lace dress to the peacock-infused reception décor to the avant garde table arrangement that seated guests for both the ceremony and the reception, I loved everything about this affair, and I’m so thrilled to bring to you Kerry + Kevin’s Mile High Station wedding photos today!

I loved how Kerry + Kevin outlined their day.  They got ready together (this was a first for me!) in a hotel room near where the after-party would eventually end up, and chose to do a first look before the ceremony around all the colorful walls + buildings near the wedding venue.  We had some perfect sunset light for their photos and I am so happy we could spice them up with all sorts of different colors, tones, and textures.

The ceremony happened just as the sun was setting, and Kerry was escorted down the stairs to the center of the ceremony site, which almost felt like it was Kerry + Kevin’s personal wedding stage.  Because the couple wanted to save time in between the dinner and reception, they opted to have guests seated as they would be for dinner during the ceremony.

This way, after the ceremony ended, dinner service would then begin immediately.  Normally, most venues need at least a half-hour to a full hour to flip the ceremony site into a reception site, and Kerry + Kevin didn’t want to waste this time doing so.  I think it was incredibly genius and a seamless way to transition into the dinner service without leaving guests to fend for themselves during cocktail hour.

For the reception, it felt more like an EDM concert as opposed to a traditional wedding reception.  Gone was “normal” wedding music and instead was replaced by house music full of energy.  The whole reception felt like we were at Red Rocks, dancing the night away under the stars.

Thank you so much to Kevin + Kerry for having me along for their gorgeous + unique celebration.  Enjoy my favorites of their Mile High Station wedding photos below, and thank you for stopping by the blog!
