Welcome to today’s blog feature: Renza and Chad’s stunning Denver Botanic Gardens wedding photos! I am so excited to share these images with you! It has long been a dream of mine to shoot at this multifaceted Denver wedding venue. A huge thank-you goes out to Renza and Chad for booking their wedding at the same time as Dale Chihuly’s glassworks exhibit!
For their celebration, Renza and Chad kept it simple and intimate. They only invited friends and family members to the ceremony, which took place at the Water Garden Gazebo. The ceremony was short and sweet, which included loving vows from the bride and groom. Afterwards, we took photos of the bride and groom all over the grounds.
We even dodged a gigantic, torrential downpour just a few moments before we were about to begin taking portraits with just the couple. Luckily, we were close to the gazebo where the ceremony took place, and as such, we sought shelter and waited the storm out.
Renza and Chad panicked for a split second. They then remembered that this is Colorado, where summer rain can strike at any moment. They knew it would pass over quickly, and a few moments later, the precipitation dissipated and we went back to taking photos.
Post-rain sunlight, as many photographers will attest to, is just gorgeous. It has a softness to it that lends a subtle warmth to the photos without being overpowering. And at a mile high, that sun surely can be intense and striking one any given day. I’m so thankful the weather cooperated for us!
