Hey hi hello! Happy new year! 🎉
Yes, I know I’m ten days late, but today is my official back-to-work day so here we are! I’m so pumped to get back into the work flow and get a whole new year of portraits going. Last year was incredible and I’m hoping to recreate all that magic for you again in 2022.
So! A little about me to kick things off…
✨ My New Year’s resolution (or goal, I should say) is all about infusing new life into…well, my life! Covid has done a number on my hobbies and interests, and I find it difficult to enjoy the things I used to love pre-pandemic. To help remedy these blah feelings, I’m going to listen to 365 new albums, try 52 new things, and read 12 new books in 2022. So far, I’m trying pole dancing classes, learning how to compost, and am touring a local candy factory this month. Any suggestions for funky Denver activities?! Interesting albums and books?!
✨ I’m obsessed with film and set a goal to watch all the movies nominated for the major Oscars categories this year. I recently saw Licorice Pizza at the Mayan, my favorite Denver movie theater. If you love a good coming-of-age story, check this film out!
✨ Lastly, I’m excited to announce that I’m back in school! I’m currently taking pre-req courses for an online MBA program. I’m enrolled in business finance and principles of management for the spring semester. I just had to buy a TI-83 graphing calculator and realized I haven’t used one in over a decade. Feeling pretty old over here! I also have to write papers and do things like…cite sources all MLA style or whatever is the gold standard these days. Lord help me…
On top of all that, I’m excited to focus on more intimate weddings, family portraits, and boudoir this year. Thinking elopements, courthouse ceremonies, maternity photos, lifestyle portraits with your whole family. I can’t wait to see how 2022 will unfold! What do you have planned for this new year?!
