I could not be more excited to share these Denver same-sex wedding photos! Lane + Lois came to me mere days after the Supreme Court handed down their monument decision in support of legalizing same-sex weddings all over the country. I got their voicemail while I was shooting a wedding and couldn’t wait to chat with them about their hometown elopement!
These two had been engaged for a little bit before the Supreme Court decision came along, and were spurred on to celebrate their nuptials much sooner than they had anticipated.
So on a Monday afternoon in late June, we went to Cheesman Park for their intimate ceremony, attended by just their pup as their witness. It was a bluebird day in Denver, and we had some of the best lighting possible for a mid-afternoon celebration.
We stayed at the amphitheater at the park for a minute afterwards to grab some photos, and following that, we went to Union Station and its surrounding areas for the remainder of the photo shoot.
Lane surprised Lois by booking a swanky room at the Crawford Hotel inside Union Station, and after we were finished with the photos, it was so lovely to join these two for a drink at the Mercantile. This couple was so rad to work with + I am so glad they found me on Yelp. I wish them all the best in their first summer as a married couple! Thank you for stopping by the blog to check out my favorite images from their downtown Denver same-sex wedding.
