Denver Wedding Vendors | Veil Trends Couture

Sometimes I have trouble deciding between what’s more exciting: finding the dress or finding the accessories? When you have so many rad options from Veil Trends Couture, I would definitely say that hunting for bridal accessories would be my jam.  It’s a chicken and the egg conundrum, and while we’ll never quite know which came first, we can all agree that both parts are integral; you can’t have a bangin’ wedding dress without some ravishing accessories to go with it!

This summer, I worked with the creative team at Veil Trends, one of my preferred Denver wedding vendors, to grab some photos of their latest bridal fashion.  It is always a joy to shoot with them, as it provides an excellent opportunity to focus on photographing the bride in her element.

This year, I decided to send over some interview questions to Jolene Picone, owner + designer at Veil Trends, and Morgan Cosby, a stylist + sales lead at Veil Trends, to get a bit more insight into their local Denver business.  Take a peek at their responses below in addition to some of my favorite frames of Jayme Cramer, a signed Denver-based model who always rocks the camera, no matter what kind of fashion she’s sporting.  Thank you for stopping by the blog!

To start, tell us a little about Veil Trends.

Veil Trends and Revel are two couture veiling and accessory brands focused on creating domestically made, completely customizable styles with the highest quality materials including French laces and Swarovski elements. While Veil Trends can complement just about any style bride, Revel tends to attract the trendy, fashion forward bride who isn’t afraid to make a statement on their wedding day.

How did Veil Trends get its start?  

Veil Trends was created after designer Jolene Picone began designing custom pieces for friends a family. Realizing there was a hole in the market for pieces that could be customized and were high quality, but wouldn’t take months to produce, she started Veil Trends in 2005. After years of success with veils, she again noticed something missing when it came to bridal accessories. Wanting to create pieces that would steer clear of the traditional “hard jewelry”, she launched Revel by Veil Trends in the fall of 2014, with statement pieces like gloves, collars, halos, cuffs and bridal capes.

What are some of the popular pieces your brides purchase?

Some of our top styles for Veil Trends include our chapel length Swarovski crystal veils, the “Millay” and our chapel length lace veils. Some Revel styles our brides are loving are the “Vienna” and “Winnipeg” halos, as well as the “Naples” belt and our “Rhodes” caplet.

Are you seeing any new fashion trends for the current + upcoming bridal seasons?  What would you like to see for fashion trends with brides?

Plunging necklines and feathers! Our “Istanbul” caplet is a perfect example of the feather trend we are seeing. I would love to see the longer capes become a trend, as well as fingerless gloves; you can have so much fun with both!

What is your favorite item to design/craft?

I turned to Jolene for this one. She says it isn’t so much what she creates as it is exciting to find the materials to design with. You should see her when we look at new lace or Revel patterns; kid in a candy store.
