If you’re worried about the best food choice for you wedding, don’t. Just take some tips from Elaine and Thatcher is choosing something they knew they would like; pizza and cupcakes.
You heard that right. Cupcakes. Pizza.
These two chose these fine-dining options with the intention of both enjoying the food and setting the tone for the party that laid ahead of them in the reception. Aside from being super creative and clever, Elaine and Thatcher are the best version of laid-
back I have ever experienced. They showed no stress, smiled literally the entire day, and were so present in the moment with each other and with their guests, too.
I knew this was going to be an awesome wedding when we first met up at Novo Coffee, my favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Turns out, they loved electronic music just as much as I do — and that’s saying something.
It was meant to be right from the get-go. In fact, the majority of our consult was chatting about DJs we all liked. I should also note here that I will be forever jealous of these two for meeting Kygo on their flight while they were traveling around Spain, Barcelona, and Ibiza for their honeymoon.
After this meeting with a few of my musical soulmates, they proceeded to impress me even more. Elaine and Thatcher booked one of my favorite venues for their Studios at Overland Crossing wedding. It’s modern, it’s big, it’s industrial, and it gave me a chance to hop on public transit to get to and from their wedding with ease. I also have a slight obsession with public transport so the ride in put me in a great mood unlike busy drives around Denver.
To tally this up, they have great musical taste, great taste in food, and great taste in their choice of venue. Now imagine my excitement when they also chose Kim Hershel with Radiant Events as their boss coordinator. Elaine and Thatcher said it themselves when they said that the time they had planned with Kim’s help in between the ceremony and the reception was their favorite part of the day.
Kim is so easy to work with and just knows her stuff which makes everything run smoothly. They got that hour in between to relax, ride the high from the nerves of the ceremony, and take awesome pictures with their friends, family, and fur-family members too.
Needless to say, I enjoyed this wedding to the max. A great couple, amazing guests, and some of the most amazing dance moves I’ve ever witnessed on the dance floor. I want to thank Elaine and Thatcher for letting me capture their special day and I hope these images bring smiles and joy to everyone who may see them.
