Denver Brand Photos: PaleOMG x ModCloth

Coming to you live from 2016 for today’s brand photo feature!

I’m having so much fun looking back on these shoots from (gulp) a decade ago.  It’s wild to think I’ve been taking photos for even longer than that.  I’ll always be so grateful to wake up every day and have this business to lean on and grow.

For this particular brand photo shoot, Juli of PaleOMG hit the pool for her collaboration with ModCloth.  We were fortunate enough to use her friend’s pool for these photos, with nary a cloud in the sky on a classic bluebird Colorado day.

I loved the vibrant tones we got from her outfits, the props, and the perfect blue pool water.

Looking back at these images now, I’m reminded of why I fell in love with brand photography (and just photography in general) in the first place: capturing a person’s authentic self while telling the story of something they genuinely believe in and feel connected to.  That’s the sweet spot.  Manifesting more of these shoots in the coming year!

If you’re a brand or creator looking for photos that feel alive and true to who you are, I’d love to chat.  Ten-plus years in, I’m continuously invigorated and reinvigorated by collaborating with people who have a distinct vision for their artwork.

Thank you for stopping by the blog!

Denver Interior Photography

Left over from my high volume wedding days is still a love of photographing details.

Only this time, these details are in someone else’s house!

Every now and again, I’ll have a friend reach out for some interior photography work for their businesses.  In these cases, their real estate business or their countertop business (can you tell which photos are for which company?!).

Interior photography is always such a treat for me.  It allows me to not only get out of the house and away from the computer, but it brings me back to basics.  Suddenly I’m 28 years old, back at a wedding, photographing the cake, the shoes, the jewelry, the invitations.  It takes me back to my early, formative years of photography, when it was just me + a camera — with a full-fledged business to come later, even if I didn’t know what was to come at the time.

My approach when doing interior photography work is to keep it natural.  I don’t use HDR techniques or anything like that.  What your home looks like is what I’m going to document!

I try to find interesting light as much as I can.  I love challenging myself to find interesting angles that show off an interior space in a fresh and intriguing way.  And of course, because I’m an admitted perfectionist, I’ll always look for straight, clean lines.

Take a peek at a few of my faves below from a handful of interior photo shoots I’ve done in recent times.  Thank you for stopping by the blog!

Denver Headshots at Little Owl Coffee Populus Hotel

You know me — I love doing headshots around the city!

You’ll almost never catch me setting clients up against a boring, plain white backdrop.  Instead, I’d rather find a cute coffee shop or hotel lobby that will allow us to grab a coffee and shoot in their space.

Which is exactly what Sergio and I did for his real estate business headshots.  We stopped by Little Owl Coffee inside the Populus Hotel.  You know the one — it either looks like an aspen tree or a cheese grater depending on what you see.  🙂

I love the moody and warm backdrops we found in the café and bar areas on both the first and second floors.  We took a few outside to finish our session where we caught a reflection of the Colorado State Capitol Building in the window.  I’ll always be a nerdy photographer at heart — nothing gets me more excited than a banger reflection shot.

Take a peek at a few of my favorites from Sergio’s Denver headshot session below.  Would you shoot somewhere like a coffee shop for your headshot session?!

Denver Courthouse Elopement Photographer

If you are thinking about skipping the big wedding and heading straight to the courthouse, I already adore your energy.  Courthouse elopements are some of my absolute favorite celebrations to photograph.  They are intimate, low stress, meaningful, and packed with the kind of genuine moments that remind you exactly why you chose this.  And if you are looking for a Denver courthouse elopement photographer, I am 100% your girl.

Here is the truth about courthouse weddings.  From the outside, they look simple.  But once you are there, the day becomes its own little adventure.  You have the buzz of downtown Denver around you.  You might be waiting in line with other couples.  Then suddenly you are standing in front of a judge, saying yes to your person.  It is quiet and quick, but also emotional in the best way.  These are moments you will want photographed with intention, not just snapped on a phone.

What I love most about photographing Denver courthouse elopements is the freedom.  After the ceremony, you are not locked into a strict timeline.  We can wander around Civic Center Park together.  We create photos that feel effortless, romantic, playful, or whatever your version of love looks like.  I help guide you through posing when you want it and step back when the candid magic is happening all on its own.

Your Denver courthouse elopement is a celebration that deserves more than grainy phone photos or quick selfies.  You deserve images that capture the joy and the realness of the moment.  If this is the wedding experience you are planning, I would love to work together.  Take a peek at the images from a recent Denver courthouse elopement below.  We only had fifteen minutes together for photos but we certainly snagged some winners!

2025 Denver Mini Sessions Are Here!

I am so excited to announce the dates and locations for this year’s Denver mini sessions!

Every year I offer discounted mini sessions to anyone who’d like a spot.  I see a lot of families come back year after year and it warms my heart every fall!  I love seeing how everyone’s family has grown.  It’s my favorite event as a photographer!

This year I have seven dates and locations to choose from.  Because there are limited openings, a lot of these spots have sold out from those on my early access VIP email list (email me to get on!).  Here is what I have available at the time of writing:

  • Monday 9/22 at Union Station
  • Tuesday 9/30 in RiNo
  • Thursday 10/23 at Jefferson Park

If those are your jam, feel free to book a space here!  My calendar is live with all the details.  I’ll copy + paste them here for easy access as well:

LOCATIONS:

  • Mon 9/22: Union Station
  • Tues 9/30: RiNo
  • Weds 10/8: Cheesman Park (sold out)
  • Sat 10/11: Chautauqua Park (sold out)
  • Fri 10/17: Clear Creek History Park (sold out)
  • Thurs 10/23: Jefferson Park
  • Sat 11/1: City Park (sold out)

Here is a break-down of what each location is like:

  1. Union Station: neutral colors, modern, urban
  2. RiNo: colorful, urban, gritty
  3. Cheesman Park: floral, tall trees, Greek architecture
  4. Chautauqua Park: flatirons, fields, outdoorsy
  5. Clear Creek History Park: rustic, fall colors*
  6. Jefferson Park: park vibes, fall colors*
  7. City Park: rose bushes, city + mtn views

*Fall colors can’t be guaranteed due to events out of my control, but I try to pick locations and dates that have worked in the past for getting fall colors in your photos!*

LENGTH:

  • 15 minutes per session

PRICING OPTIONS:

  1. Base package: $295 for 10 images
  2. Bonus package: $395 for 20+ images

THE DETAILS:

  • I’ll be doing things a little differently this year! Each session is still 15 minutes long but there will be no buffer in between sessions. I have realized that y’all are excellent about showing up on time so it’s no longer needed!
  • Each mini session will include a maximum of ten (10) images. This is included in the base price of $295. In the past, I’ve included a ton of images in each mini session booking. Unfortunately, due to how busy the fall gets for my businesses, this has sadly become unsustainable for me on the back end. As such, I’m capping the maximum number of images included in each mini session at no more than ten. Thank you for understanding!
  • If you’d like more than ten images from your mini session, you are welcome to add those on! It will be an additional $100 to receive 20+ images from your session. It is not required that you decide this now; you can always decide later!
  • In order to book your mini session date, a non-refundable retainer of $150 is due today. The final balance invoice will be sent closer to your shoot date.
  • If you need to cancel your mini session reservation, please reach out to friends + family who might be able to take your spot to transfer to them! The $150 retainer paid today is non-refundable for any reason.
  • I do my best to pick dates and locations that avoid rain as much as possible! Heavy rain and blizzard-like conditions will warrant rescheduling. Light rain and light snow will most likely not warrant rescheduling.
  • In the event of a late arrival, I will take as many photos of you + your group as I can, but I won’t be able to roll over into anyone else’s session that’s booked after you. I work fast — we’ll still get some banger images!

And that’s all for now! If you have any questions, email is the best way to get in touch: ashley.kidder@gmail.com

Thank you again for supporting my business for another year of family photos, maternity photos, couples’ photos, senior photos, and everything else in between. I am so very grateful for your continued support!
