Denver Family Photographer

I just love this cute little family.

Danielle and I met in college up at Colorado State University, back when we both worked as servers at the Red Lobster in Fort Collins.  I remember we bonded over our love of going out dancing and exploring the Old Town Square and all it had to offer.

It’s been so incredible to keep in touch with her over the years and to see her family grow. So far, I’ve photographed her engagement photos with now-husband Will, their Colorado wedding (one of my very first!), two cake smashes for their sons, Brady and Sawyer, and so many family shoots I’ve lost count.

This is the best part of being a Denver family photographer.  I get to see where romances begin and later bloom into families.  I get to see little humans get bigger and bigger every year and hear about their new hobbies and interests.  Most importantly though — I get to meet new pups (like little Hannah the Corgi below) when they’re added to the mix!

Thank you to Danielle, Will, Sawyer, Brady, Charlie, and Hannah for always having me take your family photos.  I’m so thankful to have clients and friends like you.  Can’t wait for our next shoot together this fall!  Cheers to this lovely, amazing family!

Denver Branding Photographer

Branding photos and headshots don’t have to be boring.

I am a firm believer that the photos you use to showcase not just yourself, but your business, should be visually interesting, representative of who you are, and approachable from your target audience’s perspective.

Which is exactly why I don’t offer “traditional” headshot or branding photo services.  We’re not taking your photos in front of a basic white backdrop.  Nope.

Instead, we’re going to your studio, to your restaurant, to the neighborhood you serve.  We’re including textures and colors that fit your brand and match your overall personal aesthetic.  Bring your pup, your partner, your employees, and any props you deem necessary for these photos.

Take a peek at the screenshots below to get a better idea of what these images could look like for you.  As always, feel free to get in touch if you’d like to set up a time to chat and brainstorm your session.  I’m here to help bring your vision to life!

RiNo Family Photos

I absolutely love taking photos of any kind in RiNo — especially RiNo family photos!  The colorful walls and urban texture make for stunning backdrops. I hope to be taking photos of my clients in this area for decades to come!

I’m so excited to share some of my favorite frames from a recent 15-minute mini-session with these three lovely ladies. Every fall before the winter holidays hit, I host at least one or two days full of mini-sessions.  It’s such a rad way to catch up with clients each year and see how their families have grown.  It’s definitely one of my favorite photo events of the whole year.

Thank you to this wonderful new family for having me as your family photographer!  Please enjoy a few favorite frames from their mini-session, and thank you for stopping by the blog!Family photographer (more…)

Boulder Family Photos

It’s been so lovely to take on more family sessions than usual this summer (like these Boulder family photos)!  It’s such a nice change of pace from weddings (which can be ultra-chaotic) and I love that it allows me to connect with clients a bit more.

Things I love about this session:

  • That backdrop!  Chautauqua Park is the perfect location for any photo shoot.  Those flatirons embody the quintessential Colorado atmosphere.  I love shooting here!
  • A+ family photo shoot outfit coordination!  Emilyanne did a fantastic job getting everyone to dress from the same color palette and vibe.  I always recommend complementing each others’ looks for a shoot like this instead of being super matchy-matchy.
  • All those gorgeous smiles!  I had such a great time working with this lovely family.  Everyone was so friendly and I hope to take their family photos again in the future.

Thank you so much to Emilyanne (who is also an incredible Denver photographer) + her family for having me take their Boulder family photos!   Enjoy a few faves of mine from the time we spent together at Chautauqua Park in August below.

Boulder Wedding Photos

I’ve said it before — it will (most likely) rain on your wedding day.

But that’s not a bad thing, I promise!  Case in point: Zach + James’ Boulder wedding photos, featured below.  How else can you get moody skies, lush green backdrops, and a freakin’ double rainbow without all that moisture from the sky?!

I don’t mind at all running around in the rain snapping photos of my couples.  It adds such a rich texture to the final gallery and the light that comes along with it is unlike any other throughout the day.  I happen to prefer this type of light over golden hour — which, believe me, is a bold statement coming from a photographer.

Also — rainbows.  It doesn’t really get any better than that.

Anyway, without further ado, I present to you: a sneak peek from this fabulous Boulder wedding that may or may not have been the rainiest one I’ve photographed to date (*insert wide-eyed emoji here*).  Thank you again to Zach + James for traipsing all over the foothills and through the wet streets of Boulder to get these photos!

Keep your eyes peeled for the full post of their outdoor Boulder wedding day.  Thank you for stopping by the blog!
